I am a seasoned reporter with over ten years experience with the Post News Group located in Oakland California and know AP writing style. I have authored three novels, “Edge of a Dream”, “African American/Jewish History and Relationships” and “Save Your Home from Foreclosure By Any Means Necessary.” In 2011, I was a finalist for the Miller-Coors Journalism Award for Commentary. I am a prolific writer and love my craft. I have excellent management skills and currently serve as coordinator for Oakland Unified School District’s monthly insert. My duties entail writing articles for the insert and managing the newspaper side of the project with four employees: graphic designer; Spanish translator, a stringer, and copy editor. After garnering a masters degree from Peabody-Vanderbilt, I was hired as the Dance Instructor at VCU.
