Teacher and tutor for more than 10 years! I have privately tutored students in 1:1 and small group settings in both Westchester and NYC. I have worked to support growth and enrichment in math, test prep and study habits, HW completion, organization and long-term assignments. I have worked with students who need executive functioning support as well students who need a confidence boost and reassurance that they can be successful in math. My philosophy is to teach with passion, energy and enthusiasm. As a tutor it is my job to communicate clear and high expectations for students effort and support students as they break down complex tasks. It is also my goal to help students be reflective about their own learning, so they can acknowledge what they know and what they need help with. I have found that my caring approach, along with honest communication with both children and parents, fosters positive and successful tutoring sessions.
