Graphic design has been a staple in my life ever since I took it as an elective in high school. From my very first vector assignment, I knew that graphic design was the field for me. During my undergrad studies, I had the opportunity to be a graphics intern at distinguished museums including the Baltimore Museum of Art and the Phillips Collection in Washington, DC. I was able to contribute my skills to new gallery openings and other important events in the art community. I was a graphic designer for International Graphics for four years. I worked in the pre-press department and led most of the company’s design projects. I worked closely with the creative director, who mentored me all throughout my employment. He trusted me to handle projects for his long-term clients as well as new clients. This experience taught me to value customers’ opinions and helped me to understand the importance of maintaining a good relationship with them. My employment at International Graphics had exposed me to a multitude of media projects, including magazine layout designs, book covers, website development/management, company branding, and running E-campaigns. My current job at Breakout Games has given me managerial experience, as well as a chance to grow, learn, and flex my leadership capabilities. During my time as a manager, I have built a new team from scratch and improved ratings and efficiency scores exponentially at the Brookfield location. While managing I also went back to school and earned my MFA in Media Design. I finished as Salutatorian of my class. I am a persistent person who loves to be challenged. I trust myself to get stuff done. I perform well, even under the pressure of tight deadlines or balancing several projects. Nothing is as satisfying as the peaceful serenity that comes after the trials of a tough design project. As for my general work ethic, I can say I am diligent, adaptable, and someone who never tires of learning. I have a great rapport with clientele and have been told I’m a good people person. I enjoy working one-on-one, as well as working on teams. I can lead as well as I can follow. I prefer gentle pressure and guidance.
