Robin DiIoia began studying piano at age seven. In high school she studied choral music and sang with the Lower Merion High School Choir. She began writing music and performing her own compositions while still in high school. In college she performed locally at area coffee houses and restaurants. She studied guitar, piano, vocal technique, composition and theory with acclaimed teachers Chuck Anderson, James V. Amadie and Debora Maher. Robin graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. She is also a licensed Kindermusik teacher and has taught early childhood music classes in preschools, community recreation facilities and area nursery schools. Robin began performing professionally at weddings, coffee houses, art galleries and restaurants as part of a duo act with her guitarist husband. They now perform locally in the Philadelphia area as a trio, “The Unstuck In Time Band.” As a teacher, she individualizes lessons for each of her students. She has the ability to be flexible, allowing her to shape the curriculum according to the student’s needs. Robin began her teaching career because of a desire to make music education non-stressful and fun, and this is what she hopes to achieve for all of her students.
