My name is Patrick Adams, and I am a Brooklyn based musician, composer, and teacher. I play the trumpet, piano, and drums and lead the band formally known as earthTone. I grew up in Arizona, which I feel has shaped my identity as an artist. The southwest has a very open landscape filled with deserts, mountains, and wild animals. When I play, I strive to create the beauty/intrigue that this environment has carved into me. I was formally educated at the Oberlin Conservatory ('08 - '12) where I earned my B.M. in Jazz Studies/Trumpet Performance. While in school, I learned from many master musicians who have graced me with knowledge that I seek to pass forward.
