My name is Megan - 36 years old, creative, college grad who loves reading, writing and working with people. I have over 12 years in administrative office experience - working in places as varied as government, healthcare consulting, restaurants and video production. I've lived in various parts of Baltimore my whole life but love many of the cities I have traveled to here on the East Coast. I do love to write - in college I majored in Mass Communications and wrote everything from 30 second PSAs up to a 121 page screenplay. I've written segments that have aired on television and been published in newspapers as well as written nominations for both internal county awards and state level recognition for coworkers. Because of my love for writing I have often helped others with proofreading and editing documents and papers (as well as doing the same for work). These have included short 3-5 papers written for my sister's nursing classes, a friend's doctoral thesis on AIDS in the African American community and documents to be used in litigation and hospital expansions in the medical community in Maryland and Virginia. My creative side includes a love for doing crafts - primarily scrapbooking and photography. I have done volunteer work in the past walking dogs and holding positions for the sorority I was in back in college. Additionally I type over 70 words per minute and can assist with transcription with a fast turn around time. I am looking for ways I may be able to help people out. My strongest skills are in writing and research though I love the idea of helping people with animals and photography and scrapbooking (or other photo projects) as well.
