To whom it may concern; I am sending this cover letter/resume in regards to your available position. Beginning my career of 20+ years in food service, I worked on the banquet side of the industry. After my first year, having performed every front of the house position in banquets, I shifted my focus to the ala carte side of the business. From the first several training shifts, I knew this was an industry I wanted to be part of. For the next 10 years; I proceeded to shape my career by continuing to work both sides of the industry. While doing banquets on the weekends, I was also working in restaurants during week days/nights. Having my Food Protection Certificate from N.Y.C.D.O.H.M.H, an abundance of energy, quick speed and thinking, as well as a fun, outgoing personality; enabled me to excel my way up in food service. I have learned and mastered all F.O.H. positions in both banquets and restaurants, and been lucky to assist opening more than several new establishments. All the above is inclusive of service, bar, hosting, management and events. I now find myself having the option to apply for various front of house positions. My personality, and energy speak for themselves. Coupled with my experience and love for the industry; only validates my level of dedication and enthusiasm for the business.
