A photojournalist with a fine-art aesthetic and a keen eye for design, Brian’s versatile style enables him to move easily from editorial photography and video production to corporate and advertising work. A world traveler and outdoorsman, Brian has worked on three continents and covered NGO projects Now based in Jersey, Brian has worked for six metropolitan newspapers, including The Trenton Times, The News Journal,The AP, The Detroit Free Press The St. Pete Times, The Hartford Courant, The Baltimore Sun and The Atlanta Journal and Constitution The New York, Daily News. He also has photographed stories for The Washington Post Magazine, Ebony and the Positive Community Magazine. Brian’s editorial images and essays have appeared in many national and international publications. He is currently at work on multi-year projects to document abused women and children in West Africa. Brian has had several art exhibits at the at the Plainfield Public Library on his legendary Black gospel artists and military veterans that included over 20,000 visitors. Brian’s work also appeared at the Delaware Historical society. As a photographer at the News Journal, Brian won the 1995 National Headliner for sports photography for his coverage of the University of Delaware women rowing team. Brian has been honored by the Pictures of the Year Awards, New Jersey Press Association, National Association of Black Journalists Excellence awards, New York Press Club, Gannett and the Associated Press. Books include Sunday in American and soon to be release Rhythm and Praise. Brian earned a B.S in Geology and a minor in Fine Arts from Howard University. Is also a member of the Major Taylor Cycling Club of New Jersey, The American Society of Media Photographers and the National Association of Black Journalists and Visual Task Force. Brian is available for editorial, corporate, or advertising assignments nationally and globally.
